Romain Dumas’ prototype was quickest in the morning session ahead of the sister car driven by Benoît Treluyer and the third Audi driven by Tom Kristensen.
The first Peugeot 908 was fourth, with Wurz, Gene and Davidson, two seconds behind the best Audi.
Audi confirmed its performances in the afternoon session, with Kristensen/ McNish/Capello quickest ahead of Dumas, Rockenfeller and Bernhard. The Peugeot 908 driven by Bourdais, Pagenaud and Lamy was third quickest.
The Oreca-Nissan were quickest in the LMP2 category, with the Signatech team prototype ahead of the official Oreca car. The third best performance was set by Greaves Motorsport’s Zytek-Nissan.
