Hugues de Chaunac's team Oreca has been chosen by Peugeot Sport to run a fourth, semi-works Peugeot 908 in 2010 Le Mans 24 hours, but also in Le Mans Series championship.
In 2009, Pescarolo Sport ran a private 908 at the Le Mans 24 Hours but the car was totalled in a serious crash during the night. Additionally, Pescarolo Sport was purchased by OAK Racing, which put an end to the deal.
In 2010, Team ORECA Matmut will run a 908 HDi FAP in the 2010 Le Mans Series as well as the 2010 Le Mans 24 Hours.
Former Formula 1 driver Olivier Panis is tipped to drive the Oreca Peugeot 908 in 2010.
Peugeot Sport may also provide Oreca with engines for their own LMP1 prototype starting in 2011.
