When Neiman Marcus released its 2006 Christmas Book, auto enthusiasts were undoubtedly drooling when they got to pages 96-97. Flashing its Ruby Black exterior was BMW's 2007 Limited Edition Individual M6 Convertible, at the modest price of $139,000.

Considering only 50 of these cars were made available for purchase exclusively through Neiman Marcus, it's no surprise that phones lines were completely lighting up with buyers who wanted to be sure they were among the first in the U.S. to own this special M6. The Convertible sold out in a mere one minute, thirty-two seconds after it went on sale on Thursday, October 19, at noon.

The 50 lucky buyers will fly to Europe to take delivery of their new Christmas gift directly from the factory. They will also meet with the automaker's famous car designers, and be given a private tour of the BMW factory in Munich.

The luxury convertibles made their U.S. debut at the unveiling of the Neiman Marcus Christmas Book on October 3. Aside from their bespoke exterior finish and trim, they feature M-radial spoke alloy wheels as well as power sports seats wrapped in a custom Gold Brown shade of supple BMW Individual Merino leather. Under the hood is a 5.0-liter V10 engine that produces 500 horsepower and can propel the M6 from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.5 seconds.
