We’re still eagerly awaiting the unveiling of the production version of the BRZ, and Subaru decided to tease us a little more yesterday at the Los Angeles Auto Show by serving up the BRZ Concept - STI -.
Powered by the same naturally aspirated, direct injection, 2.0L Boxer engine as the BRZ Concept, the car was entrusted to the STI high performance division for some sporty tweaking.
A front splitter and a rear wing take care of aerodynamics, while the carbon fibre roof of the WRX STI has been included to trim even more fat off the already exemplarily light concept.
The suspension teams up with 18” wheels and Brembo brakes and has been recalibrated for greater lateral stiffness.
The concept sports a new generation of the iconic blue paint scheme dubbed “WR Blue Pearl II" and the redesigned back end features two sets of twin exhaust pipes.
