In case you missed the world premiere of the new Mazda MX-5 RF at the 2016 New York Auto Show, here it is again, this time making its European debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in the U.K.
The Retractable Fastback’s new top closes and opens at the flip of a switch, even when the car is moving at up to 10km/h. It’s also one of the fastest retractable tops available.
Alongside the MX-5 RF, Mazda is showcasing the one millionth MX-5 that rolled off the assembly line, as well as the MX-5 Spyder and MX-5 Speedster concepts.
The fourth-generation 2016 Mazda MX-5 has received more than 70 awards since its launch last year, adding to the 225 won by the previous three generations. It became the first model to win both World Car of the Year and World Car Design of the Year during the 2016 edition of the prestigious automobile contest.
