Mercedes AA-Class is SNL’s parody of electric cars

Saturday Night Live is good at making fun of various products and brands. Last weekend, the team and special host Julia Louis-Dreyfus presented a clip introducing the all-new Mercedes-Benz AA-Class, which runs on AA batteries.

That’s right: not a conventional electric-car battery, but an entire supply of small AA batteries ― 9,648 of them to be exact. Mercedes had enough sense of humour to go along with the gag, and the result is hilarious.
