Mercury Marine in Wisconsin has inaugurated a museum to celebrate its 75th anniversary. Among the classic engines, snowmobiles and personal watercraft is a 1990 Chevrolet Corvette ZR-1.

The car houses an all-aluminum 5.7L LT-5 V8 engine that was originally rated at 375 horsepower and broke three endurance records in 1991. Two years later, output was increased to 405 horsepower.

A colour-matched 24' Baja boat also uses this engine, while its trailer rides on Corvette wheels. Can you say ''Wette Vette?''

Production of the Mercury LT-5 stopped in 1994.
