Michelin tires clean up in J.D. Power satisfaction awards

Tire maker Michelin couldn't be happier. The company earned a clean-sweep as it won the highest rankings in customer satisfaction for each and every segment of the J.D. Power and Associates 2007 Original Equipment Tire Customer Satisfaction Study.

Michelin topped rankings in the Luxury/Sport, Pickup/Full-sized Van, Mass-Market and Non Luxury SUV vehicle based tire segments in the study which was released yesterday by JD Power.

The announcement of the recent success in the study brings Michelin's total awards to an impressive 52 in the USA since the study was launched back in 1989. That's four times as many as all the other tire-makers combined! Michelin also boasts a total of 79 such awards worldwide.

"Receiving awards is never boring and we never rest on our laurels," said Tom Chubb, who heads up the marketing for Michelin's Automotive Industry Division. "We strive every single day to earn this endorsement from drivers and achieving our 10th sweep is extremely gratifying."
