Today's car companies have been able to eliminate most of the negatives commonly associated with older diesel engines- namely the noisy operation, harshness and sooty smoke. They've come a long way- and today's diesels are as clean, quiet and smooth as their gasoline counterparts. BMW has just announced the first of their new diesel offerings in our market will be on sale soon- and they proudly displayed them both today at the NAIAS. The 335d and X5 xDrive35d models will introduce BMW's Advanced "Blue Performance" Diesel technology to North American consumers.
