Reigning 250cc World Champion, Fiat Yamaha's Jorge Lorenzo finished on top in the second practice session today in preparation for the MotoGP Grand Prix of Spain.

But the Spaniard had to look over his shoulders as his teammate Valentino Rossi finished less than 0.05 second behind him.

Colin Edwards, fastest in the morning, was third in front of Repsol Honda Nicky Hayden, who was fastest for much of the session.

Teammate Dani Pedrosa was behind in fifth. Ducati's Casey Stoner was only sixth fastest and more than half a second off the pace of Lorenzo and Rossi.
