That is one of the most amazing things about this show. Unlike most other auto shows, the displays are not housed under one single roof. In fact, several are under no roof at all. They are spread out over the entire complex, in walkways, beside the bistro-style cafés, in prominent buildings, and even throughout the stunning park areas, which boast features such as fountains and waterfalls.

It is a very relaxing show to view. You can sit at a pleasant café sipping cappuccinos whilst admiring some of the world's finest automobiles, or you can stroll through the parks and enjoy some of the entertaining displays supplied by the automobile manufacturers.

I have to say that Land Rover really outdid themselves in this department. They brought to the event a man-made off-road course where visitors are treated to demonstration rides in which professional drivers put totally stock vehicles through amazing feats.

Now I've been an avid off-roader for a number of years. However, sitting in a Land Rover LR3 whilst the vehicle transverses a hill at nearly 45% of angle, even had me perspiring slightly more than usual. This display truly caught the public's attention, and many of these very busy people spent their entire lunch hour lining up just to experience this awesome ride.

The organizers also brought in their sponsored mountain bike aerial display team (www.m-a-d.co.uk) to perform feats on bikes that literally defied the laws of gravity.

Of course, some manufacturers simply left it to the vehicles themselves to impress the avid crowd. I spent a considerable amount of time just gazing in wonder at fabulous models such as Alfa Romeo's beautiful 8C Competizione, and the stunning TSO RT from Marcos, which was making its world debut at the show.

As this show takes place right in the heart of London, it is perhaps not unusual to bump into the odd well-known face or two. However, even I was surprised to see the man himself, Mr. Tony Blair, the British Prime Minister arrive, only to be followed shortly after by HRH Princess Anne.

As I have said, this show is certainly like no other, so stay tuned to Auto123.com as we bring you even more from the heart of London and Motorexpo 07.
