Founded in 2004, n2a Motors strives to revive the art of American coachbuilding. This year at the Los Angeles show, the company is unveiling its second offering, the Anteros.

Like the 789 that was introduced last year, the Anteros is based on a current-generation Corvette. Two models will be on display at the show; a black convertible that features an LS3 small-block V8 that develops 430 horsepower and 424 lb-ft of torque, and a silver coupe that boasts a Lingenfelter-massaged version of the engine that produces 630 horses.

According to n2a, the process of building each Anteros takes about 12 weeks. The Corvette's body panels are replaced with the Anteros' carbon-composite panelling. The donor car's cabin is stripped and in go different leather seats, leather-wrapped dash and door panels as well as Italian carpeting, whatever that is. Finally, n2a swaps the wheels and exhaust system with custom-made units.

The Anteros coupe based on an entry-level Corvette starts at $149,500 US, while the convertible starts at $154,500 US. If you prefer Z06 bones, it'll cost you at least $176,500 US. n2a Motors also offers performance packages that boost horsepower from 525 to over 1,000, if your heart and wallet desire.

Last year, n2a shocked spectators with their first model, the 789. Inspired by Chevrolet designs of the late '50s, the 789 looks like a cross between a Bel Air and an Impala. Starting at $139,500 US, the 789 will also be on display in Los Angeles this year.

Oh, and if you're wondering, n2a stands for "no two alike".
