Robin Buck, the driver of the No. 66 Quaker State Dodge, drove an impressive race in the wet on Sunday to capture victory in the NASCAR Canadian Tire event held at the Grand Prix of Trois-Rivieres.

Rain fell and the race was held on a very wet and slippery track. Two-time series' champion and pole sitter Andrew Ranger led the early moments of the race but was passed by the flying Louis-Philippe Dumoulin.

Ranger pitted twice because of a faulty windshield defogger. It was finally fixed and Ranger rejoined the fray without having lost a lap.

Dumoulin, Dodge, was later passed by Robin Buck in his Dodge. Scott Steckly (Dodge) was third in front of Jeff Lapcevich (Dodge).

A full course yellow as thrown on 11. And Ranger was already up in 10th place!

The green was given on lap 19. Buck maintained his lead over Lapcevich while Ranger was up in 5th place. Two laps later, he was up in third place, having passed Derek White and L.P. Dumoulin.

As Buck enjoyed a cleared visibility out in the front, Lapcevich and Ranger had an intense battle for second place. Although Ranger was putting extreme pressure on him, the vastly experienced Lapcevich never put a wheel wrong.

On lap 37, official threw a full course yellow to recover Lapcevich's hood which flew off. The scene was set for a hair rising finish.

At the restart for a green-white-chekered, the running order was Buck, Lapcevich, Ranger, Steckly, White and L.P. Dumoulin.

At the green, Buck pulled away from the Ranger who could not give him a run for his money. Buck won his second race of the year. He was followed by Ranger, Steckly, Lapcevich, L.P. Dumoulin, Jason White, Derek White, John Farano and DJ Kennington.
