Jason Hathaway (Dodge No 3) finally won his first ever NASCAR Canadian Tire race, the Dodge Dealers of Ontario 250 at Kawartha Speedway Saturday evening.

Finishing 17th, point leader Scott Steckley (Dodge No 22) grabbed the NASCAR Canadian Tire 2008 championship.

DJ Kennington (Dodge No 17) ended up second (and third in the championship) followed by Ron Beauchamp Jr. (Dodge No 60).

Don Thomson Jr. (Chevy No 4) could have been a contender to the championship but his 5th place in this race was not enough to displace Steckly.

Last year's champ, Andrew Ranger was missing as he was racing the Nationwide event in Kansas.

Pete Shepherd (Ford No 27) replaced him and finished 8th while Daniel Decoste (Ford No 7) who was replacing Alex Tagliani finished right behind Shepherd in 9th spot.
