Jamie McMurray, driving the McDonald’s Chevrolet set the fastest time of the day Saturday during the second and last practice session leading to the Sylvania 300, round of the NASCAR Sprint Cup held on the one-mile oval of New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

The sun was (finally) out and the track temperature was higher than in the morning.
McMurray set a time of 29.059 seconds at the average speed of 131.071 mph. His time was one full tenth of a second faster than the time set this morning by Tony Stewart who will take the start of the race in third place.

Teammates Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson made impressive progress with their race set-ups. Gordon ranked second with a speed of 130.541 mph while Johnson was third with a speed of 130.510 mph.
Stewart was fourth ahead of Juan Pablo Montoya, Clint Bowyer, Denny Hamlin, Kasey Kahne, Dale Earnhardt Jr and David Reutimann.
