Kyle Busch (Camry No 18) won the NASCAR Dodge Challenger 500 Sprint Cup race held Saturday evening at the legendary Darlington Raceway in South Carolina.
Carl Edwards (Ford No 99) came in second followed by Jeff Gordon (Chevy No 24), Dale Earnhardt (Chevy No 88), David Ragan (Ford No 6) and Matt Kenseth (Ford No 17).
Pole Sitter Greg Biffle (Ford No 16) was out of the race very early as some eight yellow flags were thrown.
Canadian Patrick Carpentier (Dodge No 10) started the race last (43rd) and made it up the field even leading a lap when the most of the leaders were in the pits. Unfortunately, with only 95 laps to go, he encountered mechanical problems and had to quit. He ended up 40th.
