Veteran driver Todd Bodine (Tundra No 30) hold off Kyle Busch (Tundra No 51) to win the first NASCAR race of the week end at the Daytona  International Speedway.

Bodine won the Camping World Truck event, the NextEra Energy Resources 250 held Friday evening in front of Kyle Busch and Terry Cook (Tundra No 25).

He will however be mostly remembered for tapping young sensation 18-year old James Buescher (F-150 No 10) who was about to show him the way at the half point of the race.

This incident triggered a pile-up that included great drivers as Johnny Benson (Tundra No 1) and newcomer Ricky Carmichael (Chevy No 4), the ex-motorcycle champ who was making his debuts in the series.

The major surprise of the race was to see young Canadian driver from the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series, JR Fitzpatrick (Chevy No 7) who started 14th, finishing 4th.

Quebec-born Floridian Mario Gosselin (Chevy No 12) ended up 29th with vibration problems.
