should also improve braking performance, which incidentally has been enhanced with a Brembo brake package. Four-piston calipers are positioned at each corner, binding down on 360 x 32 mm vented rotors up front and 350 x 26 mm vented rotors in back. Of course, just like on any 300 series car ABS comes standard. Despite the changes to the SRT8, however, Chrysler promises a car that still balances its sporting characteristics with a comfortable ride.

Adding to SRT8's performance handling improvements, the new car's Electronic Stability Program (ESP) has been tuned so that it doesn't interfere with tire slip quite as quickly, which should allow a little more oversteer and therefore quite a bit more excitement without sacrificing safety. includes an ESP defeat switch on the center stack, allowing tail wagging fun for the whole family.

Additionally, the SRT8 comes with a variety of upgrades that improve the driving experience while setting the car apart from the less powerful 300C. For instance, the front seats come standard with heated cushions and memory presets, plus they feature suede inserts to grip the backside, ideal for charging through corners. Like the 300C, the upgraded SRT8 gets adjustable pedals, plus "technical" leather trim on the steering wheel, shifter and door pulls, as well as unique surface finishing on the centre stack and other interior trim. A 290 km (180 mph) speedometer is included, as is a tachometer and engine temperature gauge.
