Honda also announced another assembly plant in the U.S. and an engine manufacturing plant near the firm's Alliston, Ontario, assembly operation, but the key aspects of the car creation process -- research and development and engineering -- it will expand at home in Japan.
Many people will be delighted to hear that Honda will continue its efforts to reduce emissions in its cars and, more importantly because of they produce considerably more emissions than car engines, in its power products (lawn mowers, generators, marine equipment, and so on) and motorcycles.
These moves are all part of Honda's "2010 Vision" plan to make itself so attractive to society in general that we can't live without it.
This certainly works well for Honda, since analysts believe that the firm takes billions of dollars in profits (more than half of the firm's overall total) from Canadian and American consumers, and with the dollar going up against the U.S. buck the amount taken from consumers in this country will grow.
