The special Bond bikes were unveiled today at the
National Motor Museum in Beaulieu, Great Britain. The Honda of choice for the 23rd Bond flick,
Skyfall, is the CRF250R, of which a couple of examples were specially modified and adapted to better resemble Turkish-style motorbikes for the opening sequence, which was shot in Turkey. Two additional CRF450R's were chosen as mobile cameras in order to closely follow the fast-paced action scenes as only a motorcycle can.
''We needed a versatile, high-quality off-road bike that could be easily modified without compromising performance and safety, for the shooting of the
Skyfall opening sequence,'' explains chief stunt coordinator Gary Powell.
Skyfall is set to be released on October 26th in Great Britain and November 9th in North America.
