2019 Toyota Corolla hatch
Tasked with the responsibility of showing that Toyota’s future includes more than small crossovers or rear-wheel drive sports cars, the Corolla has dropped the “iM” moniker and delivered a hatch that looks ready to take the fight to the likes of the Honda Civic and Mazda3. It looks good – low and wide – and gets a 2.0L four-cylinder that’s actually lighter than the 1.8L found in the iM. Power figures have not yet been announced, but with a 13:1 compression ratio, lighter construction overall and revised suspension, the Corolla hatch is looking like a blast to drive.
