After weeks of suspense and speculation, the all-new Porsche 911 R limited-edition model finally made its global debut today the 2016 Geneva Auto Show. Only 991 units will be available worldwide, and the car will go on sale in Canada this summer starting at $211,000.

Porsche’s Motorsport division is responsible for this exclusive creation, which carries the heritage of its iconic race-car ancestor from 1967.

Under the sexy skin of the Porsche 911 R is a naturally aspirated 4.0L flat-6 engine similar to the one found in the 911 GT3 RS. It produces 500 horsepower through a 6-speed sport manual transmission. Acceleration from 0-100 km/h takes 3.8 seconds, and the Porsche Stability Management (PSM) system has been tweaked for increased performance.

Other highlights of the 911 R include 20 forged alloy wheels, specially tuned standard rear-axle steering, double-declutch function (activated by pressing a button) for perfect gearshifts, hood and wings made of carbon and the roof of magnesium, and a titanium sport exhaust.
