Although the car market on the whole, and especially the sports car market, is in a recession, Porsche couldn't ask for more in terms of sales. Demand for the new 911 has kept its head production plant at Zuffenhausen working at full capacity, while floor space at the Leipzig factory, home of the Cayenne is limited due to the SUV's great success.
Due to this, it is thought that assembly will be put in the hands of Valmet, the Finnish coachwork firm currently in charge of building the Boxster. Porsche expects to produce 15,000 units of the C7S annually.
Expect the baby 911 to make its world debut this September at the IAA in Frankfurt, Germany.
