At his second start in this incredibly gruelling event, Montrealer Patrick Trahan has clawed his way up to 60th place overall aboard his Honda, only (Really, this is incredibly tough when you do not have real factory support) 19 hours behind leader Cyril Despres on his factory KTM.
Over 150 riders started in the Motorcycle class, and 93 are still in the race, after 9 of the 14 stages covering a total distance of 8 937 km. On-site experts feel that Trahan is now in an excellent position to complete the event, barring problems, after surviving endless days in deep sandy deserts.
