Antoine L’Estage and co-driver Nathalie Richard won eight of the eleven special stages of the New England Forest Rally (Maine) to take victory 48 seconds ahead of Subaru Rally Team USA driver David Higgins and co-driver Craig Drew.

With a second place finish, Higgins wins a third National Championship, one he only needed a fourth place finish to secure.

Super Production class driver Travis Hanson and his co-driver Terry Hanson completed this last podium of the 2011 Rally America Championship. The Hansons easily won the SP class title in New England. Seven seconds behind the father/son duo were Tom Lawless and co-driver Alex Kihurani.

Many teams had to surrender the difficult rally renowned for its fast and rugged logging roads. Romana Lagemann and co-driver Chrissie Beavis as well as Lauchlin O’Sullivan and co-driver Scott Putnam, battling for second place in the SP championship, were of those.

Evan Cline and co-driver Greg Dorman finished in 9th overall to take the second SP position in the race ahead of Andrew Wickline and co-driver Stephen Kurey who completed the class podium and took the 2nd place in the SP standing.

Chris Duplessis and co-driver Karl Atkinson won the two-wheel-drive rally. Andrew Comrie-Picard and co-driver Jeremy Wimpey finished second ahead of Dillon Van Way and co-driver Jake Blattner.

Despite a retirement on an engine fire on day 2, Wyatt Knox and co-driver Ole Holter won the two-wheel-drive class title.
