Connor de Phillippi took an uncontested first victory of the season, from the pole, in the season finale of the Star Mazda series, winning by 4.5 seconds over second place finisher Anders Krohn and new champion Conor Daly.
Daly crossed the start/finish line in second position, but had to give his silver medal to Krohn after the officials penalized him for blocking during the race.
This victory gave de Phillippi the Rookie of the Year title as well as a third place finish in the general standing. Daly's team, Andersen Racing, won the team championship.
The Expert Series champion J.W. Robert won the last race of the season in Road Atlanta. Dom Bastien took the Master Series win, his first in 2010.
Rounding up the top-5 of this season finale were Argentine rookie Martin Scuncio and Frenchman Tristan Vautier.
