Subaru has announced prices for its 2007 Legacy lineup, and included a special new version which caters to driving and technology enthusiasts alike.
Pricing has dropped on several models for 2007. For instance, an entry level Legacy 2.5i sedan is now some $1500 less expensive than in the 2006 model year. There are two engine options and four transmissions across the Legacy range- with lower models motivated by a SOHC 2.5 litre boxer-four engine and either automatic or manual transmission. Higher end models are fitted with a turbocharger for added power and torque.
The turbocharged engines are available paired with a 5-speed transmission in the drivers choice of automatic or manual, the latter option representing a potential savings of about $1,500.
An entry 2.5i Sedan with manual gearbox is priced at $26,995. A touring package is available and adds $3,000 to the price. The 2.5i Limited Sedan is priced at $35,295 and only comes with an automatic transmission, while GT equipped models top out the range at $40,295.
The 2007 lineup also includes the addition of a Spec.B model which caters to driving enthusiasts. It comes available exclusively with the 2.5 litre, 243 horsepower turbo-four engine and a six-speed manual transmission borrowed from the WRX STI. The so-called SI-drive feature fitted to the Spec.B allows driver-selectable throttle mapping which manipulates engine behavior as well.
The top-line Spec.B sedan is priced at $44,995.
