As previously announced, the all-new Tesla Model 3 launches tonight in Los Angeles at 8:30 pm local time (11:30 EDT). Thousands of fans, owners, and potential buyers all over the world have been storming Tesla stores ― some of them since Tuesday ― in order to be among the first to discover this new electric car and possibly put their name on the list.
The company has already specified that current Tesla customers will have priority.
The frenzy surrounding the Tesla Model 3 is such that many people have made a $1,000 deposit to reserve their copy before even seeing what the car looks like or is capable of. Heck, production will start nearly 18 months from now!
If you’re not camping outside a Tesla store right now, you can follow the launch of the Model 3 live on the Tesla website, and then make your reservation… provided the site doesn’t crash due to heavy traffic.
CEO Elon Musk tweeted yesterday that this is just the first part of the launch; the second part is scheduled closer to the Model 3’s production. One more proof that Tesla knows how to generate a big buzz…
Will you be online tonight to watch the unveiling?
