| Estrogen on four wheels! Female buyers: 80% |
You're stopped at a red light and a Volkswagen Cabrio pulls up beside you. Glance opver and 99.9 per cent of the time (or almost!), it's a woman behind the wheel. In fact, without going to far out in a limb, I would venture to say that if there is one car truly preferred by women, it's the Volkswagen Cabrio!
Why, you ask? Here's my explanation: the Volkswagen Cabrio resembles the television advertisement for Mini Wheats cereal! You know, it's nutritious and fun at the same time?! That's the Cabrio exactly, because it combines almost perfectly your practical side with your more hedonistic side.
Let's take a look at the practical side. This convertible version of the Golf can carry four persons; its flexible roof is several layers thick, thus providing added insulation from winter's cold winds; and its rear window (made of glass, not plastic) is equipped with a defroster. Of all the convertibles, it's the Cabrio which is best suited for winter...
One downside: it's best to park it in a garage to avoid vandalism or theft, to which convertibles are more often prey than conventional cars.
This a fun car to drive because like the conventional Golf, its quicker to respond than the average car. You can imagine it as well as I: a tree-lined country road, the sun sparkling on the hood and your favorite movie star smiling at you as you drive... You get the picture!
