Driving a Camaro SS means you want to "play" with it. Finding discrete places to try out its acceleration is not an easy task either. Unfortunately, the weather was way too cold for the huge Goodyear F-1 tires and trying to find traction was almost impossible. But making donuts was easy though! Also note that our tester SS did not have traction control which could have made its driving a little safer.
Oh well! I can only dream of warmer days when I will be able to really discover all of that Camaro's capabilities. Unless the car is "flushed" by that time. Incidentally, nothing else has really changed in the "new" Camaro and we still complain about that hump on the passenger's side floor and the very tight rear space, even for kids. Yep! The Camaro needs to be redone but I believe that one day, this kind of car, the "pony car" will revive. Nonetheless, the 2001 Camaro SS is one hell of a performer...if you can tame it during cold weather.
