The Legend that will live on for eternity
I just got back from an amazing trip to Germany. In 6 days and a few hours, I took in some of the best auto sites and sounds the country has to offer.

In the next little while, you'll be able to browse through a gallery and read up on the famous Porsche Museum. On my first day in Stuttgart, I cabbed it to the architectural delight and snapped and ogled away at some of the most desirable aluminum and steel pieces of art. Porschephiles, you shan't be disappointed.

A few hours later, after having toured the Museum's parking garage as well (thanks Laurance), I walked but a stone’s throw away to pick up a very unique morsel of modern Porsche for a test drive. If you don't already know what it is, I'll give you a hint: they're making 250 of them and they retail for $250 grand. Wait for it.

What seemed like moments later, I massaged the 35th Anniversary edition of the Volkswagen GTI's throttle pedal of all the way to the Nürburgring, to assist and get caught up in one of the most incredible racing events and weekends of my automotive life: the 24 Hours of Nürburgring.

Because I'm all about the cars, I will be putting together a few stories on Volkswagen's two entries, the Golf 24 and the Scirocco GT24-CNG.

In the meantime, I strongly suggest you sit down, grab a cold one, whatever it may be, and click your way through the attached gallery which depicts not only the race cars parked, being work on or in action and some snazzy display props but a sense of the grandeur of this massive event at one of, scratch that, at the greatest motorsports park in the world.

I'm going to go through it over and over again...

On a different note, I know that many of you dream to one day head to the Nürburgring to get in on all the action. Things aren't all rosy out in the middle of Germany, as the Government wants to make up for bad decisions, by increasing costs and making the Nordschleife pay for the financial losses. This could potentially seriously hurt the legendary race track and a petition has been created to try and stop this. Here is the link to site: http://savethering.org/

And, last but not least, congratulations are in order for Porsche for winning the 24-hour event in brilliant fashion with a 911 GT3 RSR and for setting a new distance and lap record (3,958.968 km; 156 laps) previously held by, you guessed it, Porsche.
