There was no way I was going back to Wörthersee -- or so I was told by the PR man from Volkswagen Canada. However, the opportunity to explore and dive ear, nose, and heart deep into the strong and powerful Volkswagen tuner’s lifestyle and world did not come only once!
It would appear as though I was a good boy in a past life.
This year’s show was just as electric as last year’s, and just as hot and sticky. All the brave souls, who cruised the area in their 25- to 35-year-old vdubs faced head-on the possibility of overheating, staling and whatnot, but were there to proudly display their love ones, their cherished jewels, their modified Volkswagens.
I’m a fan of the old stuff, the MK1s from the mid-‘70s to the mid-‘80s and the MK2s to the early ‘90s, and I got to see plenty of them. The following generations were out in force as were the Audis (never to be forgotten; how could we?). I counted no less than five B4 RS 4 wagons!! And an RS 2!!
