A Mitsubishi spokesperson admitted that the Sportback would be returning to Canada this fall, after it unceremoniously departed last year due to poor sales. It remains to be seen, however, if we'll get a version of the current model that now sports a manual transmission in standard trim, or if indeed we'll see something similar to the concept first shown in Frankfurt.
With an impressive new lineup waiting in the wings, which also includes the critically important Eclipse Spyder to be introduced early next year, cash strapped Mitsubishi Motors may just be able to claw back some of its lost market share that is now so desperately needed.
