ML: But you said yourself it's like being on a cloud. Sure, you're comfy at 300 km/h with your La-Z-Boy seats and butt massages, but you're not enjoying the car as a car is meant to be enjoyed at 300 km/h. Why would I want to be in the passenger's seat when I could be the driver and actually enjoying the car?

MSP: Once again, advantage Mulsanne. Driving or driven, the Mulsanne is a dream. Who'd want to be stuck in the GT's rear seats? You know what an HSR is? It's a high-speed railway train and you don't drive an HSR. The Mulsanne is the ultimate mode of regal transportation.

ML: There's only one seat I want in the Continental GT: it's the driver's seat or nothin' and that's just fabulous – who needs contented passengers when you have an awesome driver's car? Basically, what it comes down to is these are two very different Bentleys. The general public may think all Bentleys are created equal, but they'd be wrong. We can clearly see, feel and experience the difference in each. But, can we really decide on which is better between the Continental GT and the Mulsanne?

MSP:
Both Bentleys are extraordinary cars and as they cater to different yet equally financially well-endowed buyers, neither is better, but both excel in their segments. In the end, mine is far more expensive and therefore better. The one with the most money and toys always wins.

ML: In my humble (but obviously right) opinion, no matter which Bentley you choose, you're a winner. Because, really, if you can choose to drive a Bentley, then you're miles ahead of the rest of us to begin with, so drive (or be driven in) whichever one you bloody well want to.

MSP: Agreed. I told you to say that.

You may have seen it coming; both Bentleys are worth their weight in gold, or quite nearly. There can be no clear winner as these cars are of very different natures.

It is true that if your interest lies in driving a Bentley, the GT will further satisfy the need to be in control. The Mulsanne could easily include a full-time driver and no one would ever question the fact that you've never actually taken your place behind the wheel of your Bentley.

All you need are a few, make that many, hundreds of thousands of dollars and you too can perform the same comparison. Should you need help in coming to a conclusion, feel free to contact Miranda and Matt and they'll gladly help you sort it all out.
