2. Technology for young drivers
Many parents are understandably reticent to hand over the keys of their car to their teen, who is inexperienced and apt to take more risks at the wheel. Companies like Ford (mykey) and Chevrolet (with its Teen Driver app) offer interesting solutions to this problem. These new systems will, for example, have programmed in them reasonable maximum speeds, prevent the deactivation of safety and drive assist systems, keep the radio from working until the seatbelt is attached, and limit its volume. Parents can even receive alerts and driving reports.
