In 1949, Ford surprised the market with a more-modern line that car enthusiasts quickly nicknamed "Shoe Box", for the car’s squarish shape. Shoe box it may have been, but the wagon was still made of wood. This car is now one of the most sought-after (and most expensive) woodies on the market today.
