Positioning here was decided by… the fees. The Honda Fit DX’s big rival, the 2018 Toyota Yaris CE 3-door, has the same starting price, but delivery fees are slightly lower at Toyota. Take note that despite the respective rankings of the two models, the Fit is actually the more modern of the two; also it comes with five doors, unlike this 3-door Yaris.
