Here, we’re getting to the true bargain floor of our automotive department store. And here, logic is respected. The Kia Rio 5 belongs to a segment that has been almost completely wiped out in recent years. As they follow the customers, almost all automakers have abandoned the subcompact car format in favour of small SUVs.
And yet here it is, the Rio 5, a subcompact that, what’s more, drives like a compact car. The design is attractive, the quality is decent and the equipment is quite comprehensive for such an affordable car. And the price remains the same as in 2021.
Despite all this, few people would be willing to bet on the long-term survival of this valiant little car. Such is the reality of the automotive industry in 2022...
