To think that when the Mitsubishi Mirage debuted on our market, it was neck and neck with THE cheapest new car available in the country, the one you'll soon meet.
A few years on, the Mirage is now almost $4,000 more expensive than at its start; that’s an increase of almost 50 percent. Meanwhile, the technical specifications haven't changed much despite the addition of a few features here and there. The anemic naturally aspirated 3-cylinder engine is still in place, though we do have to say it’s more fun to putt-putt around in with the manual transmission.
This being such a cheap car, it’s ironic that our main beef about it is that it’s too expensive…
