9- Honda Ridgeline: A revenant
When Honda first launched the Ridgeline in 2006, the intention was for the vehicle to stand apart from the rest: a hardbody with a single, unified chassis-bed, midsize dimensions, almost SUV-like. Success was mitigated for the Ridgeline, and it was abandoned in 2014 – only to return recently.
The vehicle still has airs of a practical SUV, with a look that brings to mind the Pilot. Still, Honda saw fit to “detach” the bed (at least visually) from the chassis, making it, in the eyes of the consumer, a genuine midsize pickup truck. Delivered with front-wheel drive, the Ridgeline is powered by a V6 engine.
