7-Toyota Sequoia and Lexus LX 570
These two large SUVs from Toyota and its luxury spinoff have almost nothing in common except for their mechanics, but they are part of the same family and have similar specifications. Both of these 8-passenger vehicles are fitted with the same 5.7L V8 (381 to 383 hp, 401 lb-ft for torque), but while the Sequoia comes with a 6-speed transmission, the Lexus gets an 8-speed. Availability of the LX, however, is somewhat limited in Canada. And seeing as how the Lexus is not just more luxurious but also heavier than its Toyota cousin, its towing capacity is, at 7,000 lbs, a bit lower than the 7,400 you can haul with the Sequoia SUV. Incidentally, both models have a comfort-enhancing independent rear suspension.
