This coupe from Toyota’s luxury division is widely considered a failure. How could it possibly rival the Mercedes-Benz SL? While it didn’t meet the needs and expectations of consumers, the SC 430 worked nicely as a race car, winning several rounds of the Asian Super GT GT500 championship. Of course, the track model had little in common with the production version, but does it really matter?
