Lexus IS F

At the time of writing, Lexus is counting on the RC F coupe to try to overshadow the likes of the BMW M4 and Audi RS5. Unfortunately, since the IS F model was discontinued, the GS F is the only genuine sedan left with the F badge in the Japanese automaker’s lineup.

Lexus still hasn't confirmed the arrival of a second-generation IS F, but if Toyota's luxury brand does green-light the project, expect something other than the naturally-aspirated V8 under the hood. Rumours abound about the arrival of a new twin-turbo V6, a choice that would make a lot of sense. It would be very surprising to see Lexus get access to a turbocharged inline-6 powerplant from BMW, although there is the partnership between the brands that produced the GR Supra and Z4 roadster.
