The mid-size sedan segment may have taken a few hits to its popularity over the years, but it appears no one mentioned that to Genesis. Its G80 electric is spectacular in a number of ways. No surprise then that the EV was named Electrified Car of The Year by the Automobile Journalists Association of Canada (AJAC).
The G80 looks extremely unique thanks in no small part to its chromed faux grille (which hides the front-mount charge port), fantastic wheel design and rich colour choices.
Inside, it comes extremely well-appointed with gorgeous material choices including Nappa leather, top-drawer lighting and plenty of space both front and back.
Power comes in at 365 hp and a sky-high 516 lb-ft of torque, and that’s matched to a ride so smooth you’d say it was equipped with air suspension. It doesn’t, but the fact that it feels like it does is enough.
Range, meanwhile, is none-too-shabby at a claimed 520 km.
