It's a rare sight on Canadian roads, but Audi actually does sell a plug-in hybrid version of its popular Q5 compact SUV. Instead of the usual 248 hp as the only motor running the Q5, the model’s 2.0L, 4-cylinder turbocharged engine here delivers 362 and 369 lb-ft of torque, the latter more typical of hybrid electric powerplants.
The German automaker says this PHEV has an all-electric range bordering 40 km, which of course is most practical in lowering average fuel consumption significantly.
