2020 Hyundai Sonata
It's refreshing to see something other than an SUV take the spotlight, so thank you Hyundai of giving the next-gen new 2020 Sonata its North American premiere in the Big Apple. The car, should, like the Venue, arrive at dealerships around November.
Hyundai is producing two models of the Sonata, with Canada getting the Sport version with its nicely graceful contours.
Under the hood sits a tiny 1.6L 4-cylinder turbo engine able to produce about 175 hp working with an 8-speed automatic and front-wheel drive.
However, there will be a more rewarding model arriving some eight months later, according to Hyundai, with the introduction of the Sonata N-Line. The numbers for this version are much more promising: it will run on a 2.5L turbo engine delivering at least 275 hp if not more, and its capabilities might be sufficient to shake many a kidney.
