2019 Infiniti QX50
Dubbed the most important vehicle in Nissan’s luxury brand’s portfolio, the QX50 compact luxury crossover debuted looking very much like the production version we saw in Detroit almost a year ago. Cool character lines, clamshell hood and sharp detailing are exterior highlights, while a new “Autograph” trim delivers an interior with diamond quilt seating, suede and aluminum inserts and a massive suite of on-board tech punctuated by two display screens stacked atop one another, marking the first time we’ve seen the system outside of the Q50/Q60 twins.

Under the skin, the big news is the arrival of Infiniti’s proprietary VC-Turbo (“variable compression turbo”) 4-cylinder engine that uses an activation arm on each cylinder to change the compression ratio anywhere from 8:1-14:1, delivering the best mix of power and efficiency. More details on the QX50.
