The Volkswagen e-Golf is also eligible for the new EV discount, but its problem is a middling range of 201 km, simply not enough for many consumers. But while its range likely won’t be a big selling point for VW’s electric car, the exciting driving dynamics of the Golf, and of this edition, will. Motorists who care about the driving experience and can live with recharging it on a nearly daily basis will be drawn to this model, all the more so since the $36,730 price point makes it a highly economical choice once you factor in the $5,000 discount.
