Chevrolet today introduced the all-new 2016 Equinox at the Canadian International Auto Show in Toronto. Look for it to arrive at dealerships across the country this fall. Prices will be announced at a later date.
Updates include new styling with premium accents, new wheel designs and new available safety features, as well as a 7'' colour touchscreen radio and a standard rearview camera for entry-level models.
The 2016 Chevrolet Equinox lineup consists of LS, LT and LTZ trim levels, meaning 1LT and 2LT trims are no more. All three offer seating for five and available all-wheel drive.
Under the hood, you'll find a standard 2.4L EcoTec engine rated at 7.3L/100km on the highway in FWD configuration. A 3.6L V6 producing 301 horsepower can be specified in LT an LTZ trim.
There are new fog lamps (LTZ), new chrome exhaust outlets (V6), as well as Side Blind Zone Alert and Rear Cross Traffic Alert (optional on LT and LTZ).
Inside, the 2016 Chevrolet Equinox provides 889 litres of cargo space behind the rear seat and 1,803 litres with the rear seat folded.
