Audi displays new models at Toronto
Two hot new German models just took the stage at the Toronto Auto Show.
At Audi, a redesign of the popular A4 sedan has been completed- and endows the company's best-selling model with a striking new look. By revamping the way the powertrain is mounted within the body, engineers were able to move the engine further back and wheels farther forward for more nimble handling.
It's also larger and more powerful- boasting better fuel economy and more interior space than the current model. The top-line 3.2 litre V6 engine now makes 265 horsepower and comes with a six-speed automatic gearbox.
On a smaller scale, buyers after a compact performance car full of all-weather confidence and luxury will be impressed with the new Audi TTS.
Wearing subtle visual upgrades, the turbocharged top-line TT packs 265 horsepower for a serious performance boost. It's not a V6 on board- but a heavily strengthened 2.0 litre turbocharged engine. Its output drives all four of TTS's 19-inch wheels through a dual-clutch automated gearbox.
Inside, the TTS is trimmed with leather and metal, and styled in line with any other Audi S-specification car. The entire package rides on a magnetic suspension system for enhanced handling.
Both the new A4 and TTS feature led-strung headlights that will clear out highway fast-lanes in a real hurry.
